GROWTH RINGS

Trees have long been used to illustrate the human condition.  The image of the family tree is a great visual.  Not only can the image of a tree describe a person or family, but it can also describe a civilization.

Studying the growth rings tells the story of the tree's life experiences; the challenges of drought, fire, climate, and the environment it lived through. Examining a person's, or a civilization's growth rings, one can come to understand the life-shaping events. This gives insight as to why things are as they are.

We are living in a time of deep systemic change.  Advances in technology are impacting and redefining just about every aspect of daily human life. Relationships, commerce, government, religion, medicine, education, and the environment are all being affected. Our tree is putting on many new growth rings.

I am excited to launch Growth Rings and to invite the exchange of ideas and thinking. By looking at our growth rings, realizing the present forces impacting us, we can come to be better understand and prepare for what is ahead of us.
